PGP is a paper mill and converter based in Lancaster and Telford. Following the appointment of a new Sales and Marketing Director, SURE was invited to assist the company in developing an integrated marketing communications strategy. It was felt that the long established business needed to revitalise and reinvigorate itself to better compete in an increasingly competitive market place.
We undertook research amongst customers, suppliers and staff to establish current perceptions and attitudes affecting the company. Analysis of the research then determined the key issues to be addressed as part of the strategy. We devised an integrated approach around the creation of ‘four cornerstones’, which were identified as critical to the business. Implementation of the strategy then focused on the consistent and coherent communication and promotion of the four cornerstones through a dynamic, vibrant new brand identity.
Within 36 months Peter Grant Papers increased its turnover by 200%, from £8m to over £24m, following the implementation of the brand strategy and sales team effort.
